Parish Pastoral Council
PURPOSE
The Parish Pastoral Council is the guiding body of Corpus Christi Community. The Council advises and counsels the Pastor in matters which affect the spiritual, intellectual, and material well-being of the parish. The actions of the Parish Pastoral Council are governed by the Mission and Values of Corpus Christi.
The Council continually surveys the spiritual and temporal needs of the parish, providing coordination, leadership, direction, resources, and encouragement to the apostolic activities and spiritual development of all parishioners.
The Parish Pastoral Council supports and fosters the work of various committees/teams including but not limited to Social Justice, Faith Formation, Liturgy, Finance, Communications, Buildings/Grounds, and Stewardship.
MEETING SCHEDULE
Parish Pastoral Council meets the third Tuesday of the month (September to June) from 7:00-8:00 pm. Additional meetings may be called by the Pastor or Chair when necessary.
MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
Membership is open to all registered members of Corpus Christi. Eligible members are those who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, worship within the parish community, and support the parish through stewardship.
ROLES
Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary. Elected member shall serve a three-year term and members appointed by the Pastor serve a one-year term.
PROCESS FOR DISSEMINATION OF MEETING MINUTES AND UPDATES
Minutes will be posted on the website within one week of each meeting. Hard copies of minutes are also available from the Parish Office upon request.
