Middle School Faith Formation

Youth in grades 6-8 gather on Wednesday evenings, Sept to April, from 7-8:30pm to pray, grow in their relationship with Christ, and learn more about their Catholic faith. We begin each Wednesday with music and prayer in church led by our senior high worship team. Youth then meet in small groups until 8:30pm.

Activities during the year include the Fall NET Retreat, Pancake Breakfast, MEA Bonfire, Operation Christmas Child, Parent’s Night Out, Advent Brunch, Christmas Caroling, Easter Baskets for Keystone, Easter Egg Dyeing, End of Year Mass and Ice Cream Social.

NET Retreat
Faith Formation ministry for youth in grades 6, 7 and 8 will officially kick-off with our annual retreat on Wednesday, Sept 19 from 4:45 to 8:30 pm. We are blessed to have the National Evangelization Team coming to lead the retreat! The retreat team includes young adults from all across the U.S. who volunteer for a year to share the Gospel with young people. A pizza dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. If youth would like to bring friends they are welcome to do so, just let Liz know by Monday, September 17 so she can order enough pizza! If your son or daughter will be late (we know the early start time can be a challenge), please let Liz know. Liz can be reached at 651-846-9216 or at liz@ccmn.org.

Adult Leaders

We love fun adults who have a desire to share their faith with our youth. If you are interested in volunteering with Corpus Christi youth, please contact Liz Russell at liz@ccmn.org. We are currently in need of a catechist for a our 8th grade classroom!

All volunteers must be background checked and have completed VIRTUS training as required by the Archdiocese. A Code of Conduct form must be completed each year. Adult volunteers that are driving must also fill out a driver form.

Youth Minister

Liz Russell has been a Corpus Christi parishioner since 2005. She volunteered as a catechist for 5 years before landing in youth ministry in 2011. She received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota. Liz enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, cooking, camping, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She can be reached at liz@ccmn.org or 651-846-9216.
