The Roseville Area Young Adult (RAYA) group hosted their first event this past September. They were pleasantly surprised away by the large turnout at the first event, there were 30 young adults from all over the Twin Cities coming together for a BBQ at Corpus Christi. RAYA is a collaboration between Saint Rose of Lima, Corpus Christi, and Maternity of Mary but they promote to and are open to all young adults (ages 18-39) throughout the Twin Cities.
Young Catholic adults today are really looking for ways to strengthen their faith through community, fellowship, and service and want to grow alongside other young adults. RAYA wants to be able to offer young adults a variety of ways to get involved, meet people, and grow in their faith. In a few short months, they have hosted several social events (sports night, Christmas Party, BBQ), a service event at Feed My Starving Children, Bible Studies during Advent and Lent, and they host a monthly praise and worship night at the St. Rose Adoration Chapel.
They have been blown away by the success of the group. It really demonstrates the importance of this ministry and how many young people are looking to grow in faith and fellowship with other young Catholics. Please continue to pray for the success and growth of this group!
