Corpus Christi Youth Group

Our parish community values young people, not only as future leaders of the Catholic Church, but as leaders in the faith today. We seek to provide a program and ministry that encourages young people to lead lives of holiness while providing them with opportunities to encounter Christ, learn about the Catholic Church, serve others, and grow in faith.

All youth ministry events are open to youth in grades 9-12th. Make sure to fill out an Annual Permission Form & Health History. This form covers all activities that take place at church during the Faith Formation year September 2020 – August 2021.

CCYG Meetings
This year the high school youth group will meet in person every other Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30pm beginning on Sept. 30th. Due to COVID-19, we are following current official guidelines to keep everyone safe. We will meet in the gathering area for every CCYG meeting and youth may enter through the main church doors. The number of youth able to attend is limited to 8 for the time being. Youth must sign-up to attend ahead of time by using the Sign-Up Genius that will be emailed out, posted on our website below, and in the CCYG Instagram bio @corpuschristi.youthgroup a week before each gathering. Please bring a mask to wear and social distance throughout each meeting. You may find the meeting schedule and updates on our CCYG Google Calendar below.

Our theme this year is GREATNESS. We will dive into topics that shape our understanding of what greatness is and how we can truly become great. Romans 12:2 will be our Scripture verse to meditate on and Pope Benedict XVI’s wise words will encourage us throughout the year! We hope you will join us as we continue to discover who we were made to be!

Teen Mentors

Teen Mentors assist with the Confirmation program by helping on the fall and spring retreats, leading discussions during Confirmation class periodically throughout the year, and participating in Prayer Night. This 2020-2021 faith formation year, we are postponing our Confirmation program for 9th grade and will offer it for both 9th and 10th graders in 2021-2022. If you wish to be a teen mentor for the 2021-2022 faith formation year, please reach out to Liz Russell at any time at

Adult Leaders

We are in need of fun adults who have a desire to share their faith with our youth. If you are interested in volunteering with the Corpus Christi youth group, please contact Laura Schaadl at .

All volunteers must be background checked and have completed VIRTUS training as required by the Archdiocese. A Code of Conduct form must be completed each year, while the background check is renewed every three years. Adult volunteers that may be driving youth to and from events must also fill out a driver form.
