Youth Ministry Events
Our parish community values young people, not only as future leaders of the Catholic Church, but as leaders in the faith today. We seek to provide a program and ministry that encourages young people to lead lives of holiness while providing them with opportunities to encounter Christ, learn about the Catholic Church, serve others, and grow in faith.
We have youth ministry events for both Middle School (6-8th grade) and High School (9-12th grade).
High School Youth Group
High School Youth Group Gatherings are generally during the school year on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30pm in the Corpus Christi Youth Room. If you have any questions, contact the office.
Summer Youth Group events will be coming soon as well!
Middle School Youth Group
Middle School Youth Group meets on Tuesday nights once a month, usually from 6:30-8:30pm in the Youth Room. They feature a combination of games, food, faith lessons, hangout time and much more!
High School Lock-in – May 27-28 (Friday night 7:30 PM until Sat. morning 6 AM)
Don’t miss out on the “lock-in” social event for high schoolers on May 27-28 (overnight, Fri. night to Sat. morning)
Our teens helped plan an incredibly fun event for our on-site lock-in. It’s an entire night of gaming tournaments, night games outside, food, hangout time, crazy competitions inside & so much more! (we’re keeping some pieces a surprise for the night!)
Give & Grin – Summer days with service and fun – Wednesdays in the summer – June 22, June 29, July 27, August 3, August 10
On Wednesdays throughout the summer we will continue the tradition of Give & Grin! These days of service and fun are open to all youth that just completed Grades 5-12. Each event (roughly 9 AM – 5 PM) features a morning of service, prayer, icebreakers & more, before going to a different offsite “fun site” each afternoon – like Bunker Beach, Grand Slam and more!
It’s a fun way to reconnect with your Corpus Christi friends. Adult leaders are needed!
Teen Mentors assist with the Confirmation program by helping on the fall and spring retreats, leading discussions during Confirmation class periodically throughout the year, and participating in Prayer Night.Code of Conduct for Youth
Background Evaluation of Youth (filled out by two non-parent/guardian adults)
We love fun adults who have a desire to share their faith with our youth. Sign up below! All volunteers must complete a background check and VIRTUS training as required by the Archdiocese. A Code of Conduct form must be completed each year. Adult volunteers that may be driving youth to and from events must also fill out a driver form.
Extra Faith Formation Resources for Youth
Below you will find a list of online resources that encourage youth to pursue and learn about their faith in a variety ways. Suggestions range from podcasts to Instagram accounts to prayerful workouts. Feel free to explore the options available. Contact Liz if you have any other great suggestions to add to this running list.
